Some additional pictures from the first dip into the water

It's easy to see from the pictures that I had a hard time rowing because of the wind... Should have put the centreboard down at least a bit, seemed to calm it down quite a bit on the following occasions. It's also easy to see that I'm enjoying myself!

Sailing!

Have had three sails. The first was cut short when I managed to turn the boat upside down while waiting at the jetty. The second was short due to much too much wind, but the third was two hours long and involved Harry and his friend Melvin for the last hour. The boat is even better than expected. Very fast, easy to rig, light on controls, and exciting in every way. Unfortunately the friend with the mobile phone camera missed to take any pictures of the short moment when I had the goat on the plane in a (to me at least) fantastic speed.

Wet at last!

It's not really finished in that it needs a lot of varnish to really shine and to protect the epoxy. Nevertheless, today she got a name, Rackham den röde, and I fit to row her a short bit. After yesterday's calm and sunny weather, today was really windy and gusty which made sailing impossible. Will try again tomorrow.
